Friendly Visitors Program
The Chapter is seeking exceptional people to visit nursing home residents with multiple sclerosis.
The goal of the Friendly Visitors Program is to provide companionship and a measure of emotional
support to nursing home residents with MS. Visitors and residents are matched based on similar
interests, hobbies, or desires. Participants are encouraged to take part in mutually enjoyable
activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, games, or other pastimes. Visitors are not expected to
provide health care or transportation services. They are there to offer support and friendship.
Visitors will receive comprehensive training before the initial visit and continued support as needed throughout the program.

In Office Volunteers
We are in need of volunteer help at our office. There are a variety of organizational, clerical, and administrative
tasks that we need volunteers to help us with. We are located at 1800 M Street, NW, Suite 750 South, only blocks from the Farragut West and
Farragut North Metro stations on the orange/blue and red metro lines. We are open Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm and would love your help. Please let us know in advance if you are planning to come in to the office so we can be properly prepared.
