Life with MS impacts everyone in the family.
Individualized, age-appropriate education and support are
available for every member of the family. Such support may
include the following:
- Family meetings at home
- Counseling for parents
- Counseling for children
- In-home occupational and physical therapy assessments to increase safety and independence
- Assistance in locating other community resources
- The Children's Fund, which provides financial assistance for children's activities
- Kidventure, a recreation and education program for children, ages 7-17, who have a parent with MS
- Friendly Visitors, a program that matches volunteers with persons with MS who live in nursing homes.
- Keep S'myelin, a newsletter designed specifically for kids and teens who have a parent or relative with MS.
- Teen InsideMS Online, a quarterly online magazine written by and for teens.
