Maryland The Maryland Public Policy Committee is a group of people with MS, and volunteers and staff from both the National Capital and Maryland Chapters who spearhead the state's MS advocacy activities. We monitor and support legislative activity related to health insurance, transportation, employment, housing, and long-term care.

On Advocacy Day, volunteers from across the state will join together in Annapolis to educate legislators about MS and ask them to support measures that will benefit people living with the disease. As a participant, you will have the oppportunity to learn about the National MS Society's priority issues in Maryland, including:

Wednesday, March 5, 2008: Maryland Advocacy Teleconference Call
7:00-8:00 p.m.
Open to Advocacy Day participants and others interested in MS issues in Maryland, this one-hour teleconference call will bring you up to speed on the Chapters' public policy platform for 2008. Eric Gally, President of Gally Public Affairs, will share tips on how to communicate effectively with your legislators.
