The Chapter offers education programs on the medical, social, and psychological aspects of MS. These may be whole-day and half-day sessions with guest speakers and workshops, or may take one of the following forms:
- Education nights at venues throughout the metropolitan area
- Knowledge Is Power, a series of articles on subjects of special interest to persons newly diagnosed with MS and their families
- Video and telephone conferences
- In-service education programs for employers and for health-care professionals in hospitals, health-care agencies, and nursing homes
- The annual Charcot Lecture, presented by a noted MS researcher, for local neurologists and other health-care professionals
- MS Learn Online, an Internet education series
- One-day educational and social programs for specific participants (e.g., men, women, families, couples, caregivers, young adults).
