Advocacy

"The more voices we have, the louder our message, and the more likely it will be heard."
- A participant in the
MS Public Policy Conference

There are many public policies and programs that greatly influence the health, independence and well being of people with MS. People with MS expect that the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will represent their interests on these important matters. Local chapters, such as the National Capital Chapter, share responsibility with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in this effort.

You can make a difference

Elected officials DO care what you think, especially if you VOTE. Please educate yourself about how to vote in your area and carefully choose who will represent your interests best. Then, talk or write to these officials so that they know your concerns.
