Our Chapter is committed to helping people
with MS live as independently and productively as possible
by funding research and providing direct services. All of
our programs are made
possible by the support of caring individuals and organizations.
Through our special events and the generosity of sponsors,
the Society is able to direct its proceeds to those who need
it most our clients.
"FedEx is very honored to help in the fight to end the devastating effects of MS.
FedEx brings hope to people with Multiple Sclerosis by supporting our employees that make up "MS Team FedEx".
But the ultimate hope comes from helping fund the research that is so vital to unlocking the mystery and ending this disease forever. FedEx wants to do more and therefore,
we are launching our 2OO4 team campaign called a Network of Hope".

This year, corporations and their employees combined their
efforts to make each of the Chapter's special events a success
- providing nearly $1 million (30% of our revenue) towards
our mission of ending the devastating effects of multiple
sclerosis and saving us thousands in in-kind gifts.
According to the 1999 Cone/Roper Benchmark Survey on Cause
Related Marketing:
- 78% of adults would be more likely to buy a product
that is associated with a cause they care about.
- 66% would be likely to switch brands and 62 percent
would be likely to switch retailers to support a cause they
care about.
- 54% would pay more for a product that supports
a cause they care about.
From Fortune 500 companies to niche marketers, from packaged
goods companies to service providers, and from mass merchandisers
selling T-shirts to media companies selling advertising, cause
marketing is a proven strategy for increased sales.
"In the words of our CEO, Ken Lewis, “Bank of America is in business to make communities stronger and to help people achieve their dreams.” Bank of America gives hope to people who have multiple sclerosis by using those same principles in our commitment to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. As a person living with MS, Bank of America’s winning culture and focus on teamwork gives me confidence we will, as a team, win in our battle to find a cure for MS."
