Community Involvement
"Having friends come by and spend time with me is so special. It's wonderful when (they) come to visit because I know my day will be good."
- A participant in the Friendly Visitors program
Many community and civic organizations choose to donate both time and financial support to the National Capital Chapter of the National MS Society.
As the Chapter continues to expand and create new opportunities for community outreach, we need your help. We hope your assistance with relationship building will help us broaden our scope and local reach. Are you a member of any church or synagogue outreach groups or civic organizations such as Kiwanis, Rotary and Lions clubs, Junior League or Jaycees?
If you are interested in having a representative from the National MS Society come and speak to your organization or want to learn more about how your organization can make a difference in the lives of the more than 18,000 people affected by multiple sclerosis in the Washington, D.C. metro area, please contact the Chapter at (202) 296-5363 or Development@MSandYOU.org.
