The National MS Society is delighted to partner this year with the David Allen Company of Manassas, VA for their annual golf tournament to benefit the National Capital Chapter. Over the past four years alone, the David Allen Company has raised almost $170,000 for essential programs and services benefiting those living with MS in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This year, the tournament will be held on May 23, 2008 at Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club in Gainesville, VA.

"We started this tournament many years ago as a way to network and meet new people," said Philip Halcomb, Vice President of David Allen Company. "We realized that while we're doing this, we might as well be doing it to help someone else and chose to support people with MS."

This year's tournament is gearing up to be the best yet, with top raffle prizes and a new fundraising goal of surpassing last year’s donation of $61.000. As in past tournaments, golfers will enjoy a lunch, a leisurely day of golf and a reception with raffles and prizes. The David Allen Company works throughout the year to spread awareness about MS and the importance of raising funds for this disease that effects so many.

"On behalf of the many thousands of people affected by MS in the Washington metro area, we are delighted to partner with David Allen Company as they work to raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis," said Kate Shifflett, Director of Development. "Thank you to David Allen Company and Philip Halcomb and his staff for the commendable work in the movement against MS."
