Our Service Area
The National Capital Chapter provides programs and services to people in the District of Columbia, Prince George's and Montgomery Counties in Maryland, and Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties in Virginia.
Our chapter serves approximately 6,000 people with MS. Taken together with their families and caregivers, we have identified that approximately 18,000 people are affected by MS in the Washington, DC metro area.

Internship Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in internships with the National Capital Chapter of the National MS Society.
The National Capital Chapter is looking for qualified full or part time college students to intern during the 2008 Summer semester. Internships are available in a variety of fields (see job descriptions below). Most of these in-office positions are unpaid, but the experience will be invaluable! Academic credit may be available depending on your school's requirements.
- Job Descriptions for Summer 2008 Internships:

Required Skills for all internships (specific skills per position are listed in each job description):
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
- Very organized with good attention to detail
- Available for a minimum of 8 weeks, preferably longer. Hours are negotiable, but typically a minimum of at least 2 days and 15 hours a week is required.
